In depth

Verdict

Chamrousse was always up with the pace at Leopardstown and stayed on after being caught flat-footed. She probably has a bit of scope but it's time CRUELLA DOVIL was winning. Johnny Murtagh's filly was beaten a neck by Verhoyen in a huge field of handicappers at the Curragh for which she's been raised 9lb so returning to a maiden looks the correct option. Sunset Nova was 13l behind so looks held but Frosty Beach showed enough potential in her first campaign to suggest she will be winning soon though she may be better off in a handicap. The well-connected Risaalaat found a mile on soft ground beyond her at Limerick and is expected to do better here.
