In depth

Verdict

Bohemian Birch will be expected to improve from her run over 2m4f at Listowel though she was beaten a long way. Presenting Bonnie should be better for her run at Kilbeggan on ground quicker than ideal while Derek O'Connor takes over on Angels Dawn, who didn't run badly at Listowel. Salvador Ziggy couldn't match strides with the odds-on Chemical Energy at Roscommon but ran well enough while Mac Suibhne chased home Visionarian over hurdles at Gowran though never looked like winning. TOP BANDIT, a €105,000 three-year-old, is related to two winning bumpers and won't need to be a world-beater to make a successful debut.
