        Verdict

        A nice prize for this venue and Midnight Malibu beat three of today’s opposition when scoring over track and trip recently. She just got the better of Foolaad on that occasion and the latter should go close again while Moonraker and Samovar finished further behind. But Tim Easterby’s mare had earlier fallen victim to ORNATE (NAP) here and it’s David Griffiths’ dual course winner that gets the vote in a tight sprint given he’s subsequently gone very close to catching the 109-rated Encore D’Or in a conditions race at Newcastle with Suzi's Connoisseur back in fifth. Crosse Fire and Erissimus Maximus were also beaten by the selection here earlier while Uncle Jerry and Atletico debut on the Fibresand with the former arriving in better form though upped in class today.
