In depth
Verdict
It is almost incredible to believe that the racing authorities have even taken the time to sanction a race where the top-rated horse sits on a mark of just 39 but Magic Charm can do her bit to justify the framing of this contest by leading this modest bunch home. Dash Of magic, Leophin Dancer and Oulton Broad have dropped sufficiently enough in the weights to merit an interest and moves for any of them at each way prices could reap a fair return. While Sea Ya Maite is another who is a shade of better days but will feel like he has been let loose off a mark of just 30. However, recent winning form is thin on the ground and many of the rest appear to have forgotten what it takes to press for the lead. Therefore, Magic Blade, who landed a couple of nice touches for her connections at Brighton last season, has been presented with an easy task as she bids to add to her tally. The trip will not be a problem for her and, as she made her racecourse debut here in November 2000, she has sufficient experience of the course to make a bold bid today.
