In depth

Verdict

Howards Princess is the tentative choice in a tricky handicap, Majik and Larky's Lob look to be the best alternatives. James Hetherton's four-year-old was successful at Wolverhampton in October and hasn't been disgraced since. She chased home the impressive La Colline over course and distance last time and meets nothing that well handicapped this afternoon. Top-weight Majik looked on the way back last time when finishing a decent third behind Le Chiffre over course and distance last week. A similar run today should see him involved in the finish. Larky's Lob was successful over the five furlong trip here last time, beating subsequent winner Muara. However he has a bit to find with the selection through La Colline. The pick of the others could be Guadaloup, but best option in a fascinating race appears to be Howards Princess.
