Verdict

Honkytonktennessee’s better recent form has come over longer trips and this may also be on the short side for Golanova. Smoking Jacket probably needed his run at Perth in April and is starting to slip down the weights while the handicapper has also given a chance to Gold Ingot on his form last summer. But ACES OVER EIGHTS goes well for Richard Johnson and Kerry Lee’s eight-year-old could be the one to be on this evening if overcoming a short break. Veteran Iona Days won at Kempton last month but is 6lb higher.
