Come What July has won his last two starts, the latest of them a course and distance handicap by seven lengths and may be able to defy an 11lb rise in the weights at the main expense of Romil Star and Victory Quest. The last mentioned has been off for 11 months but was in good form when last seen and the market may provide the best guide as to his chance. Richard Fahey's Danelor is probably better on the Polytrack, while Penwell Hill has yet to prove his effectiveness over today's trip and is far from certain to appreciate it. Nantucket Sound should do better back on the Fibresand today having seemingly failed to handle Lingfield's Polytrack surface last time. He rates a bigger threat than either Solomon's Mine or Game Guru, who need to step up on recent efforts to trouble the judge. Romil Star is another that should be suited by the return to this surface and has to be respected on the evidence of his two recent course distance victories but Come What July is on top of his game right now and he gets the vote.
