In depth
Verdict
A difficult finale and the tentative vote goes to Brush A King while others to consider include In Good Faith, Diamonds Will Do and Moon Colony. The Charles Pogson-trained gelding was in excellent form earlier in the year, rattling up wins at Catterick, Sedgefield and on this track before returning from a break at Wetherby last week. The son of Derrylin faced an impossible task in a valuable graded event and faded out of contention but will find this more to his liking and should prove much more effective with the outing under his belt. In Good Faith has his first start since recording a comfortable success at Sedgefield in early September but has risen in the weights and may prove vulnerable on his return. Diamonds Will Do is another who has suffered at the hands of the handicapper after scoring at Bangor in August and her latest start on the Flat saw her well below her best. Moon Colony has held his form well of late and has place claims but Sayeh looks a shadow of his former self so Brush A King gets the nod.
