Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

An uncompetitive opener and this appears a good opportunity for Sandywell George to finally open his account at the main expense of Kitty John and Tsar's Twist. The gelded son of Zambrano has proved a model of consistency of late having been placed in six of his last eight starts and put up a particularly good effort when a close runner-up to a useful yardstick over course and distance last time. Kitty John has some useful Irish form to her name and has the services of Tony McCoy but needs to improve to trouble the selection on these terms while hurdling debutante Tsar's Twist has shown little in bumpers and faces no easy task so Sandywell George looks the obvious choice in the opener.
