Verdict
This is a very tricky maiden that may fall to Heaven's Walk, with La Motta and Abelard both capable of going close. Peter Makin's colt showed improved form when tried on the all-weather at Wolverhampton last month, just tying up in the closing stages when third to Future Deal. This drop to five furlongs could be ideal and he looks the one to be on. Irish raider La Motta is difficult to assess, but he did put up an excellent performance in a decent Cork handicap last time when finishing a close second, it would be no surprise to see this one plunder first prize. Abelard is from a powerful yard and wasn't disgraced last time when a close up third behind Dutch Key Card at Wolverhampton. Knead The Dough could prove best of the others, but Heavens Walk is going the right way and can take first prize.
