Verdict
Course and distance winners Elllen Mooney and Miss Champers will no doubt have their supporters here, but we will take a chance with Miss Glory Be. Gay Kelleway's mare has been in the doldrums during December and January but bounced back to form with a gallant third behind Rare Coincidence at Wolverhampton last week. She has been steadily dropping down the weights and with her stable in form, can gain her first success since last May. Ellen Mooney has had the misfortune to come up against the improving Najaaba on her last two visits here and although not getting much respite from the handicapper should be in the firing line again. Miss Champers returned to winning ways in an apprentice event at the end of last month, beating Noble Pursuit in a driving finish. She is as game as they come and is sure to be in there fighting at the death. Of the rest, Jessie has shown some signs of ability and could possibly sneak into a place, but for the winner we return to Miss Glory Be
