In depth
Verdict
Not a strong race by any stretch of the imagination with some moderate performers on show so this appears a good opportunity for Favia to get off the mark. The daughter of Mujadil has clearly been difficult to train as she did not race as a juvenile and made her debut only last summer when competing in useful maiden company at Newmarket and Ascot. The four-year-old suffered the ignominy of unseating her rider at Windsor next but showed she had a race of this nature within her compass when a staying-on fourth of 14, beaten four lengths, over 7f at Lingfield last week. With further improvement to come and the extra furlong sure to be in her favour, she should prove hard to beat. Sorbiesharry did not appear to appreciate the first-time fitting of a visor on his latest start but had previously shown a consistent level of form in similar company and can reach the frame but the main danger to the selection is Night Market. The five-year-old has been placed in handicap company on his last two starts and did particularly well last time when a close third (off a mark of 54) in a competitive heat over course and distance. That effort came in November but with his stable going well at present and a useful claimer on board, the son of Inchinor will be no pushover.
