In depth
Verdict
Jungle Lion can regain the winning thread here at the expense of Vanbrugh and Brother Cadfael. The selection finished a well beaten runner up behind Mandinka here last time over the one mile three furlong trip, and had previously been hammered over this trip back in May. However he was most impressive when taking a course and distance handicap in April and dropping to banded company for the first time must hold strong claims. Brother Cadfael landed a weak contest here recently in good style and is going the right way, he must be a big threat to all. Vanbrugh loved every yard of the two mile trip here last time and came home eight lengths clear of Simon's Seat. He may not be as effective over this shorter trip but should still be involved in the finish. The others make very little appeal and so if Jungle Lion can return to his best he will take all the beating.
