In depth
Verdict
A wide open contest gets proceedings underway with very little between many of the leading fancies but the principals look too be Amanda¿s Lad, Free Wheelin and Panjandrum and the tentative vote is given to Free Wheelin. The selection lost all chance with a tardy start last time out but he remains on a fair mark and in an open event he looks the value bet as long as he gets out on terms with his rivals. Amanda¿s Lad rates the main danger as she has been in good form of late and was a fair fourth behind Mystery Pips last time out. However she looks vulnerable off this mark and for that reason is passed over on this occasion. Panjandrum is another worthy of respect on his best form and although he has been disappointing of late this is his easiest task for a while and he should be noted in the market. Of the remainder Weakest Link has shown a modicum of ability on turf and is from a yard in form so could go well at a price while Mystery Pips won well last time out but may struggle under his penalty, but in a race where stakes should be kept to a minimum for the winner we return to Free Wheelin.
