In depth

Verdict

Recent Southwell selling winner Harry Potter has an obvious chance judged by official BHB ratings and is taken to resume winning ways at the main expense of Wardash and Let's Celebrate. The last mentioned showed improved form behind Martin Pipe's Honan at Plumpton last time and has claims on that evidence but needs to improve again to trouble the selection. Blue Leader faces no easy task giving weight away all round and has struggled under penalties in similar contests of late and of more interest may be Brendan Powell's Border Artist, who takes a drop in class and could be capable of taking a role lowered into this grade. Canadian Storm is capable but has little recent worthwhile form to his name and a bigger threat is likely to come from Martin Pipe's Wardash who is another dropping in class. Harry Potter seemed not to stay 2m4f last time and dropping back in trip looks to hold solid claims off what appears a favourable mark.
