In depth

Verdict

It is perhaps not the most encouraging of sings that Chalford has blinkers on for his racecourse debut, and so preference is for Pinewood Lulu with Jakam and The Twelve Steps rated as dangers. The selection comes here on the back of two decent runs, the first when priced at 100/1. There will be no sort of fancy prices about him today, but with further improvement to come on this third start, he looks worth siding with. Dancing Maite, The Twelve Steps, and the selection will all be eligible for handicaps after this run though so tread carefully. Jakam looks an interesting newcomer, and if this son of Diktat acts on this fibresand surface then he could run well on debut. Fools Gold should not be overlooked having been given a break, whilst Martingrange Boy should improve for a recent debut, however it is Pinewood Lulu who is fancied to win.
