Jonnie Skull won when last seen at the course and is 5lb lower in the ratings than that last winning mark, however he looks bang out of form. Royal Holiday is 2-3 here so has to be worth a closer look but it remains to be seen how Eastern Hills will handle a switch to this artificial surface after winning at Leicester on testing ground last month. MCCONNELL certainly handles the track having won here three times and now he is dropped to a realistic looking mark he may be the one to chance in a competitive race. The trainer has a 21% strike-rate at the course in recent seasons and he can add to the tally with McConnell.
