Verdict

COLORUS is the call in this contest with Loose Caboose and Haalak on the list of dangers. Bill Ratcliffe's charge is a very consistent sort around here and while well beaten at Brighton; we are hopeful that Paul Pickard can make his 5lb claim count today. Loose Caboose has won here previously and while there is an absence to overcome, Robert Winston's booking looks a positive. High draws used to be favoured though the recent evidence has not been quite so clear cut. Haalak may need luck in running from this post position. First Order has each-way claims on the pick of some of his better form whilst Silvanus is well treated on some of his turf form and is one to note in the market. Lake Chini is well handicapped these days though has not shown too much at this course in the past. Simple Rhythm continues in good heart. Cogent cases can be made for the majority of the field and we are with Colorus.
