    Verdict

Rhetoric, Seraph and Berkeley Heights look to be the principles in this banded stakes and we will nominate Rhetoric as the one they all have to beat. The selection was well beaten in heavy ground at Kempton last time out, but he had previously won well in this grade and on this track when defeating Moyne Pleasure. He is stepped up in distance from that success and providing he gets the trip he should take all the beating. Seraph is another who disappointed last time, but he had previously shown a game attitude to overcome Leophin Dancer at Lingfield. He is another that is unproven at the trip but he could be capable of going close. Berkeley Heights was well beaten behind Sunnyside Royale over this course and distance last time, so he will have to improve to trouble our choice, although he will certainly have no problems with this trip. Dora Corbino has shown a fair level of form of late so could be capable of running on into a place, but for the winner we are happy to stick with Rhetoric.
