Verdict
Few can be seriously fancied in a moderate affair and Avondale Lad is the TEAMtalk selection to give weight to his main rivals. Kevin Ryan's charge showed plenty of determination to land a similar event over course and distance last month and hasn't been disgraced in useful company subsequently so should be hard to beat on these terms. Evangelist had definite claims if back to his best but recent efforts suggest otherwise while Makindi has to overcome inexperience on this surface as well as a four-month absence. Silver Rapere struggled in testing conditions last time but had previously shown ability when second over this trip in a Brighton maiden in August so may do best of the remainder.
