Verdict
Shank is the least exposed and therefore capable of plenty of improvement on his handicap bow. Sir Mark Prescott's colt has shown little in maidens earlier in the year but will appreciate the step up in trip and could go well despite a lengthy absence. In contrast Sky Dome is well in to the veteran stage of his career but has been in good form on turf of late and has place claims while Shore Vision is well treated on the pick of his turf efforts and is another to consider on this surface for the first time. Glory Quest hails from a yard in good form and has a shout if back to his best but the TEAMtalk vote goes to Mehmaas. The six-year-old is fully effective on this track and showed earlier this month that he remains in top form with a close second of 23 in a one-mile Doncaster handicap. A reproduction from this pacey performer may prove good enough off a fair mark with a useful apprentice booked.
