Verdict
Goose Chase gets the vote in the finale with Phi Phi and Taylor Maid rated as the main dangers. The selection has a 6lb penalty for his win at Nottingham last time when he beat Mr Kalandi. However, he overcame a bad draw to win that day, and he won in some style as well so he looks more than capable of getting his head in front again. Phi Phi was bitterly disappointing at Catterick last time. However, she had previously run well here when she gave the impression that she would be suited by a step-up in trip. She gets that here today and she has to be respected. Taylor Maid finished well down the field in a handicap at Lingfield last time, but she has shown promise in her other races and she is another who should appreciate this step-up in trip so she is respected. Of the remainder, White Star Magic ran as though he was returning to form at Wolverhampton last time and he is worth noting in the market. However, for the winner we return to Goose Chase.
