Verdict
Cut Ridge is offered up as the selection with recent winners, Cleveland and Top Level sure to be in the shake-up. The mare won well at Musselburgh in a similar contest and while there are obvious questions about an ability to handle the surface, John Wainwright would not be sending her here if he didn't believe she had a chance, and we shall side with her on this occasion. The bookies are unlikely to be offering 33/1 about Cleveland this week as they did in a seller at the track. He could not be crabbed for the victory but it was a dreadful race with a number of out of form performers in opposition. Top Level is reportedly heading to the sales next month so this is as good a shop window as any. Connections appear to have cottoned on to the fact that she doesn't get a mile so this option has been pursued. Windy Prospect surprised plenty when obliging over six furlongs having previously campaigned over further. If that was not a one-off, he has obvious claims. Danethorpe hails from a yard that are coming back to form and may be of interest if supported. Aboustar is watched on return from absence. Cut Ridge is a speculative selection and is likely to represent some value at the likely odds.
