        Verdict

        A horrid race where form looks incidental and Bridget's Team is the minimum stakes recommendation ahead of Poniard and Homecroft Boy.The selection is no great shakes herself but she has shown a modicum of ability on this surface in the past but not to the extent that she could be recommended with any confidence. Poniard is a seemingly rare runner at this time of the year for David Barker. There is every reason on breeding to suggest that the step up in trip could help. Homecroft Boy is exposed and not certain to stay. Denton Hawk returns from absence while Heaven Gates is observed in the market given his trainer's abilities in securing victories from moderate horses. This really isn't a race to be sticking the housekeeping on and Bridget's Team is offered as a token selection.
