Verdict
Torrent has been running well of late and may be capable of taking this with Hagley Park and Danakim the others worthy of consideration. The selection was not beaten far when fifth behind Playtime Blue at Wolverhampton last time, and his previous success over this trip at Wolverhampton when he defeated Hagley Park makes him the one to beat here. Hagley Park is likely to represent the main danger as he is in good heart at present, although he was a little disappointing last time out. The Leather Wedge is another that is not out of it as he beat Hagley Park on this track back in December when a fair second to Laurel Dawn, but his overall profile has been quite disappointing. Danakim was well beaten last time on this track, but the drop in trip is sure to suit and he looks to have decent place prospects, but in a race which shouldn't take too much winning Torrent is given the vote.
