        Verdict

        Galley Law is consistent at this level and gets the nod over Haunt The Zoo and Mexican, who can go close but have both been expensive to follow on occasions. Printsmith also fits that profile and, as the string of near misses from his recent profile would suggest, he is not one to rely too heavily upon in a finish. Mexican has plenty of stamina and has held his own in modest company without wining over fences of late. However, he has also gone close over this trip when he has reverted to the Flat and again has place claims. As has Haunt The Zoo, who is far better on the All Weather than she is on turf. However, she does appear to have gone off the boil at the moment and, at the age of eleven, it is difficult to see where the necessary improvement will come from tonight. Therefore, we go with Galley Law, who has run several good races at this track and can add to his tally over what may well be his optimum trip these days.
