    Verdict

Plenty with claims in this but ROYAL HOLIDAY won over track and trip in December and has gone close again off today’s mark subsequently. Final has proved best over 7f so far but finished runner-up here at the start of the year while The Firm landed a double over course and distance earlier and ran well again at Haydock just two days ago. Limerick Lord won a lower grade race here in December while the veteran and prolific course winner General Tufto continues to slip down the weights. Mutamid and Anton Chigurh have won at Wolverhampton but both have something to prove on this surface.
