In depth
Verdict
A modest claiming race which offers Mayannabanana a great chance to supplement his recent Wolverhampton victory, at the expense of Turf Princess and Tamarina. Gay Kellaway's colt displayed great courage to beat Jakari by the shortest of margins on that occasion after showing plenty of promise in a couple of better races here at Soiuthwell, further improvement is expected and he will be difficult to beat. Turf Princess landed a similar event here last month, dishing out a length beating to Bajan Storm so must rate a big danger. Tamarina is another that catches the eye having shown a great deal of greenness on her debut at Ripon before making noticeable headway late on. The Pat Haslam pair Turks And Caicos and Nocatee are two others who could make a bid for the place money but for the winner it has to be Myannabanana.
