In depth

Verdict

Blue Monkey is aptly named but he should finally get his head in front here at the main expense of Acapulco Bay and Bold Saxon. None of the newcomers make much appeal and so it may pay to concentrate on those with runs under their belts and Blue Monkey holds the best form. He takes a further drop in trip today in the hope that this will aid his quest to open his account and assuming he acts on the surface, he could be hard to beat. Acapulco Bay is the obvious danger, having made a pleasing debut behind a well-touted sort of Hughie Morrison's over this course and distance and if improving for that run he must be involved in the finish. Bold Saxon has had plenty of chances however he looks of more interest now dropped back in trip again and goes on the shortlist. A weak race which looks there for the taking for Michael Bell's Blue Monkey.
