      Verdict

      In the opener, Blackmalkin is selected ahead of He's My Best and Sundae. Blackmalkin's debut third to Poppy's Rose at Pontefract looks very solid in the context of this race and he looks the one to beat. He's My Best, though, cost 625,000 dollars and is very much one to note on his debut. A 50,000 guineas son of Bahamian Bounty, Sundae showed promise on his all-weather debut and he can also go well. But, in a race where there is little strength in depth, Blackmalkin gets the call.
