In depth

Verdict

In a low-key opener, Donatessa gets the vote ahead of Sweet Medicine and Sandymac. Donatessa is a German Flat winner with solid credentials coming into this race and has to be respected. Charlie Mann does well with his German imports. Based on her Huntingdon second to Enforce two runs ago, Sweet Medicine would clearly have to come into things. Based on what we know, the others do not have solid credentials although Gary Moore's Sandymac should be noted in the betting and Cyd Charisse has shown a modicum of ability. There's not much else we can say, really, although the betting might provide you with some clues. All in all, though, Donatessa gets the call.
