Verdict
A poor contest gets proceedings underway but many have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Pedro Jack,On The Trail and Mallia and the tentative vote goes to Pedro Jack. The selection was a fair third behind Firework in similar grade last time out and with his young apprentice taking off a handy five pounds he will be hard to beat. On The Trail rates the main danger on his latest third in a better race behind Fairgame Man last time out he tends to find one or two to good for him on most occasions and for that reason he is opposed. Mallia is another worthy of respect on his latest seconds behind Johnny Ebennezer, that form has since been franked and he will not be far away under conditions that suit. Wilson Bluebottle is another dropping in grade and he is from a shrewd yard so he is worth noting in the market but his best form is over a longer trip and for the winner we return to Pedro Jack.
