Paso Doble gets the tentative selection in this open handicap, with Skunkawakhan, Kumakawa, and Tabulate just three others in with claims. The selection steps back into handicap company today after breezing to victory in a seller over course and distance 13 days ago. Although he is now on a mark 5lbs above his highest winning one, he is fairly consistent and should go well for new connections. Tabulate has had a break of 134 days but is an interesting runner as he has shown that he handles the surface before. Kumakawa's recent second to Et Dona Ferentes gives him claims and this grand old-timer must have place claims as least although his draw in 13 is not ideal. Shunkawakhan is consistent but has a habit of finding at least one too good, however whilst he is winless in twenty starts, he has the plum draw here and should run his race. Blushing Prince is a useful dual-performer, whilst Dispol Peto has claims back over this trip. Pawn In Life has been disappointing since winning a poor contest over seven furlongs so must be passed over, along with Boy Dancer who is better over shorter. Therefore we will return to Paso Doble to go in again.
