Verdict

GLOBAL HUMOR escapes a penalty for winning an apprentices’ race at Newcastle and is effectively 7lb better off with Corey Madden able to utilise his claim on this occasion. A chance is taken he takes to the surface. Newcastle runner-up Burtonwood also debuts on Fibresand but Queen Of Kalahari recorded a hat-trick of course wins before placing at Newcastle and makes more appeal. First Excel won this in 2017 but hasn’t scored since while Eponina has yet to win on the all-weather in 16 attempts. Bernie's Boy was placed on his only previous visit and has tumbled down the weights this year.
