In depth

Verdict

Stoneacre Chris could be of interest on his handicap debut in a race as weak as this but a better bet looks to be Kamal, who gets the verdict with Planet Paradise rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has run creditably in his last three starts on the Polytrack but has run well here before and Willie Muir's gelding looks the most likely winner in a poor contest. Admirals Way ran better at Kempton last time and has to be of interest on his debut on the Fibresand, while Heron still looks a shade high in the weights despite having been dropped 19lbs since making his debut in a handicap five starts ago. David Barron's Swallow Forest looks to be going the right way and has to be considered along with Planet Paradise, who ran better here last time. It is Kamal that gets the vote though.
