In depth

Verdict

Christy Beamish, Brer Bear and Agua Ardente look the three to concentrate on in this hunter chase with the confident vote going to Christy Beamish. The selection has won his last two races in good style notably when beating Knife Edge last time out. This looks tougher but he is a progressive type and under conditions that suit he is taken to score, Brer Bear rates the main danger as he has been in fair form of late but he is prone to the odd error and he will need to improve in that department if he is to score. Agua Ardente was a fair fourth on his last run and will strip fitter here so should be noted in the market. Of the remainder May Be Possible is unexposed and has scope for improvement so should be noted in the market while the booking of Polly Gundry for Black Optimist catches the eye but for the winner we return to Christy Beamish.
