Verdict
Royal Road has made some improvement this season but will have to find notable progression to trouble the two main players. Simply Loveleh is the first pick of the Skelton duo and scored in workmanlike fashion when getting off the mark at Uttoxeter. However, VINNIE'S GETAWAY (NAP), one of many strong rides for Richard Johnson on the day for the Murphy yard, is preferred despite making his hurdling debut. He was impressive in defeating a well-punted sort earlier in the month in a bumper and already has a win on the board over obstacles when landing his sole point-to-point. He appeals as a scopey sort who should do well now going over hurdles.
