Verdict

A competitive start to proceedings and we will side with JAM PACKED ahead of Wild Tonto, Castlemainevillage and Le Beau Bai. Whilst the selection would not want the ground too soft, this Jonjo gelding ran well in defeat last time out over a shorter trip at the track and looked as if he wanted a return to further. Drying ground would aid and he should run well. Don't Be Bleu had been in good form earlier in the season over hurdles until suffering a reversal last time at Worcester; the drop in trip may well be in his favour. Le Beau Bai was well-fancied last time at Newton Abbot but could only mange third. He handles this ground and should not be far away despite looking high enough in the weights. Lyster comes here in winning form, whilst Castlemainevillage has been given a break since finishing a very good second to the progressive Apollo Creed at Southwell. Wild Tonto is another to consider in an open event however it is Jam Packed who can return to winning ways.
