Verdict
A modest contest that can go to Carnoustie, who at least has winning form at this level and is preferred over her stablemate Bakiri on these terms. Roppongi Dancer, Prayerful and Cliquey do not have too much to find on the best of their combined efforts and are expected to make up the main body of the opposition. However, they will all have to go some to better Carnoustie, who will not find many easier chances of carrying top weight to victory than this. The fact that Richard Phillips' charge is 11lb higher than she was when winning this race last year is off-set by facing weaker opposition this time around. So, assuming her latest start has done her the power of good, Carnoustie can make Stratford a happy hunting ground for her supporters once more today.
