Nonrunner

In depth

Verdict

Wild Is The Wind is the selection ahead of Herecomestanley and Dickensbury Lad. Tony McCoy's mount is far from straight forward but with all the allowances, a clear round from the 122 rated hurdler should suffice on Sunday. Herecomesstanley ran a solid enough race at Sedgefield on Monday. He handles the ground well enough but from a time perspective, the race looked a distinct non-event. Dickensbury Lad seems to produce his better performances when the fields are small. Rated 111 by the BHB handicapper, he does relish a fight and a reproduction of his second at Ludlow to Martha's Kinsman should put him in with a shout. Sandy Gold faced a hopeless task against Rebel Rhythm last time out and is watched in the market. Alphabetic's recent form has been little to write home about. A poor race in view of the prize money and Wild Is The Wind is likely to be put in plenty short enough.
