In depth

Verdict

EXTREME CONVICTION has the form to land the finale at the expense of Major Miller and Googoobarabajagal. The selection gets a chance to run off the same mark as he did while winning at Bangor last time out as he was winning a conditional jockeys race for which they do not gain a penlaty. If he turns up in the same frame of mind he is sure to take all the beating. Major Miller has not won since winning at Perth last April but through injury he has only been lightly raced. He was coming back from a year off before finishing fourth of twelve at Worcester last time out and should strip fitter this time around so any moves in the market should be noted. Googoobarabajagal is still winless under both codes in eighteen starts and is starting to become a frustrating horse to follow. He has however shown a hint of ability in some similar races and has the form to finish in the frame if putting his best foot forward. Extreme Conviction has more on his plate since his latest victory but with luck in running he can follow up in the finale.
