In depth
Verdict
A fairly decent seller here with a couple of out-of-form sorts taking on the usual suspects. El Zito sets a good standard at the top. Previously a fair handicapper on the flat, he had bits of pieces of form for his former trainer. Treasure Chest looks the pick of the Pipe runners. Formerly an out-and-out stayer on the flat, today represents a significant drop in grade and trip vis-a-vis his previous hurdle races. The TEAMtalk pick is Carnoustie. Richard Phillips' grey has a few quirks but the ground should be ideal and it is interesting that the trainer has decided to drop him into the bottom grade for the first time. Jupon Vert is sure to be popular with the Somerset punters. Paul Nicholls performed a similar trick with Moving Earth a couple of months ago and this out-of-form chaser may be rejuvenated by a switch to hurdling.
