        Verdict

        A fair end to proceedings on Thursday. Hernandita was a decent performer over two miles for Pipe and comes back after an absence. She holds clear form on the book if able to stay this extra three furlongs. Queen's Pageant is at least a course and distance winner at Taunton. Backers of this filly will need to forgive her recent Southwell run before getting stuck in for a repeat. The TEAMtalk pick is Serenus. Although he has an inexperienced pilot on board, he was a class act when with Nicky Henderson and would not need to be at his peak to take this race. Gold Quest has become frustrating to follow of late. The lightly-weighted Fast King would be of some interest if he could rediscover his juvenile form.
