Verdict

Martin Pipe sends half the field to post for the finale and many of them would have chances on their best form, but we prefer to side with the Paul Nicholls-trained Blue America. The selection won well last time when defeating Member's Only and with the step up in trip sure to suit he is taken to win again. Liberman won the Championship bumper at Cheltenham last year and although he is well handicapped he has shown no aptitude for hurdling and is readily opposed. Fast Mix ran as if returning to form when fourth behind Forbearing his stable companion last time, but he is another that may just be a little high in the weights at present. Of the remainder, Burdens Boy has plenty of ability but has obviously had his problems. If he is fit after an absence of 810 days he could run well at a fair price, but for the winner we return to Blue America.
