Volt Face has yet to win in ten starts over fences but has gone close on several occasions and should get into contention. He was having his first start for new connections and was only headed on the line so can go one better despite a 4lb rise. His stable companion Pulling Power was in winning form when last seen in November and with just three runs over fences behind him is expected to make further progress. San Satiro, who looked a bright prospect in 2017, was having only his second start over the bigger obstacles when a close third at Wincanton and should go well despite a big weight.
