Verdict
With only the seven runners set to face the starter for this hunters' chase, this is a contest that should not take a lot of winning and Jabiru gets a confident vote. A winner at Exeter and Newton Abbot last spring, the 10-year-old went to Cheltenham for the Christie¿s Foxhunters' Chase on the back of placed efforts at Stratford and here. Not surprisingly, the son of Lafontaine was outclassed behind Kingscliff at the Festival meeting but this represents a big drop in class and he can take advantage of it. Worcester winner Raise A Gale has the fast ground he desires to show his best form and has to be respected despite an absence from the track of 253 days. The formerly useful Esprit De Cotte showed nothing like his old ability on his first start for new connections last season and is difficult to recommend, while Andrew Martin's Mustang Molly is again likely to find at least one too good. Edgar Gink, another with a long lay off to overcome, is probably the pick of the remainder.
