Verdict
Red Society won well last time and looks the one to be with again, with Mrs Philip and The Gene Genie the principle dangers. The selection won in good style when defeating Mrs Philip over this course and distance when last seen out, and he still looks to be well-treated here on his chase form. With Richard Johnson taking over from an amateur in the plate and conditions to suit he looks the one most likely to lead them home. Mrs Philip finished behind our selection but then went on to win at Wincanton when beating Couldn't Be Phar. She is tough and genuine and she will not be far away at the finish. The Gene Genie has a pull in the weights after finishing behind both Mrs Philip and Red Society, but he will still need to improve to trouble the principles. Outside Investor would have chances on the pick of his form, but for the winner we return to Red Society.
