Verdict
Formerly with Nick Littmoden, Kingston Town looked a useful recruit when making a winning start for Martin Pipe at Chepstow and, while beaten when falling two out last time, he is fancied to resume winning ways in a race where the main dangers look to come from Investment Affair and Catchthebug. The last mentioned was a bumper winner in Ireland and showed promise on his first start over hurdles for Jonjo O'Neill when a close fifth behind Apollo Theatre. He should improve for the run and has to be respected. The five-year-old makes more appeal than Ferdy Murphy's Daguyda, who has shown only limited ability so far. Pam Sly's San Antonio was a useful miler on the level but has yet to prove that he stays two miles over hurdles and of more interest may be Investment Affair. Ginger McCain's Investment Affair showed improved form to open his account over hurdles at Haydock last time but this looks harder under his penalty and preference is for Kingston Town, who is taken to resume winning ways.
