Verdict

Horsforth was still beaten a couple of lengths when runner-up at Pontefract and one of the newcomers may prove better. DIAMOND CREEK could be the one as she's a half-sister to five winners, including the decent sprinter Sandrey, and Tony Hamilton prefers her to stablemate Billy Bond. Captain Colby is related to the Group 1 winning sprinter Benbaun so any strong support for him in the betting should be noted. Rutland Panther's pedigree is packed with speed while Denton Dawn and Gold Pursuit are also related to winners.
