Richard Fahey has won this twice in recent years so the presence of newcomer Blades Lad should be respected. Abhaath started odds-on for his debut at Lingfield in July but finished well beaten. He improved at Leicester three weeks later but will need to make further progress. Marching On started odds-on at Newcastle after a fine effort at York but didn't enjoy front-running and can do better. UNEX MICHELANGELO never got anywhere near the leaders in what looked a hot Newbury maiden but was staying on nicely and should have come on enough to take this. Confirmed looks one for the future over further.
